iPhone or iPad: open this page in Safari, tap Share, then Add to Home Screen. Android or computer: use the install button below if it shows, or your browser's Install option.

You

Training days add 500 ml to your water goal. The heart-rate limits trigger alerts (see Apple Watch below); hard training can pass your limit, so raise it if you get false alarms.

Reminders show while Daybook is open on this device.

Alerts when the app is closed

Get a notification on this device for new announcements, quizzes and assignments, a day and three hours before something is due, and shortly before class. Nothing is sent while you're asleep (your wake and sleep hours above). On iPhone, first add Daybook to your Home Screen and open it from there.

RIT courses

Daybook can't sign in to myCourses for you (only RIT's IT team can approve that, and it would need your password). The safe way is your private calendar link, which carries class times, quizzes and assignment due dates. In myCourses: open the Calendar, click Settings, tick Enable Calendar Feeds and Save, then click Subscribe, choose All Calendars and copy the link. Paste it below. Daybook rechecks it about every 10 minutes and alerts you. Treat the link like a password: anyone with it can see your calendar. Announcements need each course's feed link (School, then Add a class) if RIT has turned feeds on, or you can add them by hand.

Apple Watch

Apple doesn't let websites read your watch, so your iPhone sends the numbers to Daybook. That gives you steps, heart rate, active energy, resting heart rate, HRV and sleep on the Today screen, plus an alert if something looks extreme. Step-by-step set-up is in APPLE_WATCH.md in the Daybook folder. Readings arrive in batches, so they are not live.

Your personal address for heart rate

Your address for daily numbers (steps, sleep, resting heart rate)

Alerts also fire for a resting heart rate over 100 or 12 above your usual, and under 4 hours of sleep. They need alerts turned on above, and the readings must reach Daybook. Daybook is not a medical device. If you feel faint, have chest pain or trouble breathing, get help straight away. Hard training can push your heart rate over your limit, so raise it if you get false alarms.
